AO - Progression Of Advert

My original idea was to have a piece of artwork or a centre piece that would be very striking and catch the consumer’s eye. I did this for my mock-up idea, as I could use images from the Internet, and create the advert from secondary materials. However, when I tried to look for a brush in Photoshop that had a similar effect, I couldn't.

After realising that I could not continue with my original idea, I decided to think of different ideas and ways that I could advertise the band and the album in an effective way. My next idea for the advert was to have the name of band and the album written a lot of times, across the poster. However, after seeing what this looked like I didn't feel that this was eye-catching enough, and wasn't very aesthetically pleasing.

I decided to add a image to the advert, as this would add more to the poster, and would make it more exciting. I chose to use a image from the music video, to use in my advert, as this would mean that the advert links in with the video. However, when I put the image of the lead singer into the advert, it did not fit in to the style of the text. In order to change the style of the image, I used some effects to put onto the image, including distort effects, to try and make the image stand out and keep in with the same style as the advert.
